Ard, William

William Ard (1922-1960) was an American journalist and copywriter. He was born in Brooklyn and educated at Dartmouth College. He served in the Marine Corps in WWII and married Eileen Kovara in 1945. In 1950 he became a freelance writer, moving to Florida in 1953. Ard also wrote as Ben Kerr, Mike Moran, Jonas Ward and Thomas Wills. His series characters were Timothy Dane, Lou Largo, Barney Glines (Wills) and Johnny Stevens (Kerr).
