Katharine Dorothy Farrer nee Newton (1911-1972) was an English writer. She was born in Wiltshire and educated at St Anne's College Oxford. In 1937 she married Austin Farrer, a brilliant cleric. Prior to that she was a teacher of Latin and Greek. One of her books, The Missing Link, provides a view of University life in Oxford. Her series character was Inspector Richard Ringwood.
