James M Fox (1908-1989) was a pseudonym of Johannes Matthijs Willem Knipscheer. He was born in The Hague, Netherlands and educated at the Universities of Leiden and Utrecht. He became a naturalized American citizen and lived in California. He also wrote under the name of Grant Holmes.

 

 

{His} output is large and varied, but the Johnny and Suzy Marshall mystery series remains the highpoint of his long career. -- George Kelley.
