Edward Grierson (1914-1975) was a Northumberland barrister who began his mystery writing with the outstanding Reputation for a Song, a classic inverted mystery. His next book, The Second Man, won a Gold Dagger Award. He also wrote as Brian Crowther and John P Peterson.
