Henry Kane (1918-??)

          I just came upon an article about Kane by Lawrence Block titled "The Murders in Memory Lane: Remembering Henry Kane." In the body of the article, Block mentions that there's some question about what year Kane was born and when he died. In response to follow-up comments, Block says someone got in touch with him to let him know Kane was actually born in 1908 and died in 1988.--Barry Ergang

          Henry Kane was born in New York. He also wrote under the pseudonyms Anthony McCall, Kenneth R. McKay, and Mario J. Sagola. He is the creator of Peter Chambers, a private eye in New York City, McGregor, an ex-cop turned private eye in New York City, and Maria Trent. Kane also contributed to the series of 'Ellery Queen' novels ghostwritten by other authors.
