Osmington Mills (1922- 2003) pseudonym of Vivian Collin Brooks. British journalist and writer. Her father was the journalist, writer, and broadcaster Collin Brooks (1893-1959). She was reporter on the Yorkshire Evening Press and wrote detective novels with the serial characters Inspector William Baker, Chief Inspector Rupert “Rip” Irving and Sergeant Patrick C. Shirley.
