Freeman, R Austin - The Eye of Osiris / The Vanishing Man (1911)
Review by Nick Fuller
5/5
While slow-moving, it is a classic—one might say the classic mummy case. Dr. Thorndyke’s detection is from facts, not microscopic examination, so the reader has a chance. The characterisation is good—the love-story and the lawyer are both believable; and a nice dose of black humour in the form of the will.
