This is one of these books where a bit more than a fifth of the way through I was certain who the murderer was. Since the mechanics of the crime, characterization, setting, etc. were not of special interest, I went ahead and looked at the end and, yup, I was right. The writer was guilty of one of the great giveaways in premature inadvertent murderer revelation, but I won't say which one, because that would be a spoiler.
