Hugh Cosgro Weir (1994-1934) was a US pulp writer. He was born in Illinois and began work at 16 as a journalist on a paper in Springfield Ohio. He began writing screenplays early and later founded an advertising agency and a magazine publishing house. He was a prolific writer of short stories but is mainly known today from his 1914 book: Miss Madelyn Mack, Detective.
