Marjorie Alan (Real name Doris Marjorie Bumpus) was a British Writer -- and contributor of at least one ss to a CWA anthology. There are at least six Alan titles available:
DARK PROPHECY 1945 (apa Masked Murder),
MURDER IN NOVEMBER 1946 (apa RUE THE DAY)
THE IVORY LOCKET 1951
DARK LEGACY 1953
MURDER LOOKS BACK 1955
MURDER IN A MASK 1956 (Described as her last crime story)
however, while these are the only books listed at Abebooks, the Classic Crime Fiction site lists two ithers -- and leaves out THE IVORY LOCKET.
These are:
MURDER NEXT DOOR 1950
MURDER AT PUCK'S COTTAGE 1951.
It seems likely that only the first two were published in America.
