Albrand, Martha

Martha Albrand was the pseudonym of Heidi Huberte Freybe (1910-1981). She was born in Germany in 1910 and emigrated to the USA in 1937. She attended the University of Zurich and married the German lawyer Joseph Maria Loewengard in 1932. After his death she married Sydney J Lamon in 1957. In addition to detective stories she wrote romantic novels in both German (up to 1940) and English.
