Page history last edited by Jon 15 years, 1 month ago

Richard Hull is the pseudonym of Richard Henry Sampson (1896-1973), who became famous with his first book, The Murder of My Aunt. He was the son of Nina Hull and SA Sampson. He was born in London, attended Rugby School, and entered the British army at eighteen with the outbreak of war. At the end of the war, after three years in France, he became an accountant. Hull moved into full-time writing in 1934 after the success of The Murder of My Aunt. In World War II he was recalled to the army and became an auditor, a position he retained until his retirement in the 1950s.

The Murder of My Aunt is available from Independent Publishers.
