Arthur J(ohn) Rees (1872-1942) was an Australian journalist and author. He was born in Melbourne and went to England in his early twenties. His proficiency as a writer of crime mystery stories is attested by Sayers, Dorothy L in the introduction to Great Short Stories of Detection, Mystery and Horror (1928). His serial characters are David Colwyn, Colvin Grey and Insp. Luckraft and the stories are set mostly in England.
