McCloy, Helen - The Slayer and the Slain
Harry Vaughan's uncle has just passed away, providing the young man with a colossal fortune. Giving up his job, Harry goes back to his roots - and to the woman he loves. But nothing works the way it should.
Telling more would be spoiling what is arguably McCloy's masterpiece, an admirable (and in my knowledge, unique) piece of bamboozlement with an unforgettable last line. Not to be missed.
