John Womack Vandercook (1902-1963) was a London-born American author and journalist. He spent twelve years as a foreign correspondent and drew these for his novels about Bernard Lynch, an investigator for the League of Nations, several of which have been filmed. He also wrote non-fiction and non-detective novels.
